Natural World of the Kimberley Seminar and Publication

In October 2016 the Kimberley Society hosted a one day seminar on "The Natural World of the Kimberley" at the University of Western Australia in Perth. Invited speakers presented their latest work, and selected students and early-career researchers displayed posters describing their research. Building on the success of the seminar the Society compiled edited contributions from the speakers and poster presenters to create a book The Natural World of the Kimberley. The book provides an unprecedented view of the Kimberley's flora, fauna and landscapes and the consevation efforts underway to preserve them. This stunning 312 page book contains 15 chapters and eight features grouped in five subject areas: land; plants and fungi; animals; sea and coast; and the environment. These fascinating chapters have been written by eminent scientists and land managers and are illustrated by exquisite full colour plates, maps, graphs and diagrams.
